Chef Tom just returned from an extended adventure of discovery.  Much of his time was spent in Barcelona and San Sebastian.

Now he’s back and would love to bring the amazing varieties of flavors and textures to you.

We’re approaching the holidays and Chef Tom has TWO packages from which to choose:

  1. Pintxos Party for Ten (heavy appetizers, perfect for a cocktail party)

  2. Tapas Table for Six (more intimate supper of fabulous Spanish flavors)

Cost per person per event: $120

  1. Pintxos Party for Ten

Pintxos (peen-cho’s) are small, one or two bite appetizers, each stuck with a toothpick, or pintxo, and displayed on platters that cover the length of the taverns in Spain. You grab a plate, choose which pintxos look the most delicious, grab a beer or a glass of wine and munch away, chatting with friends and enjoying one of the most exciting ways of eating ever.


There are a hundred different varieties, some classic, some nouveau, some made up at the whim of the chef based on what’s seasonal.

Together we’ll design ten different combinations of flavors, set up a giant buffet of pintxos covered platters, and your guests can choose what they like.  This is similar to a heavy appetizers-style cocktail party.  Perfect with a few bottles of good Rioja, some great Spanish beer, Sangria, or if you REALLY want to wow your guests, we can offer Txacoli (cha-ko-lee), a light, refreshing white wine that is “broken” by pouring from on high, adding a light effervescence – the classic way of enjoying pintxos.



2. Tapas Table for Six

Tapas is the other way of enjoying great Spanish food.  These are family-style dishes shared at the table.  Like Pinxtos, an endless variety of flavors and textures, often based on seasonal ingredients.  There are classics like Patatas Bravas, Croquettas, Pulpo (octopus) and on and on.  Take a look at the list below to get a better sense  of what is avallable.

Just like the Pintxos Party above, you and Chef Tom will design a menu of six different Tapas, including a dessert.  With good wine, good company and a lovely spread of tasty Tapas, you’re in for a wonderful, and memorable, evening.

White Gazpacho  Andalucian combination of bread, nuts, cucumbers and grapes

Patatas Bravas  Roasted and spiced potato wedges with smoky-tomato sauce and garlic aioli

Croquettas de Cepes  Porcini and cheese croquettes

Tomato, Onion and Almond Salad  Tomatoes, sweet red onion, Marcona almonds, green olives and Manchego cheese

Gambas al Ajillo  Roasted prawns in a spicy garlic sauce

Tortilla Española  A thick egg-and-potato omelet cooked like a frittata

Albondigas in Almond Sauce  Pork and beef meatballs in a rich almond sauce

Catalan Tomato Bread  Slices of toasted rosemary and lemon bread, brushed with fresh tomatoes and garlic

Chorizo Poached in Red Wine  Smoky Spanish sausage with garlic, cooked gently in red wine

Berenjenas con Miel  Crispy, thin-sliced eggplant with lime and honey

Spanish Tossed Salad  Butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, almonds, olives and oranges

Thick, Hot Chocolate, Barcelona Style  Dark, rich hot chocolate

Salt and Pepper Caramel Brownies  Smoky black pepper, sea salt, caramel and chocolate

Tarta de Queso  Caramelized cheesecake, San Sebastian style
